PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Stay connected with the stories of your state. Bring your own beverage and join us for a series of insightful conversations with some of Indiana’s most interesting scholars.

Join us for a discussion with Dr. Michella Marino on her research into the history of roller derby. From the sports origins during the Great Depression to its resurgence in the early 2000s, women’s roller derby has impacted modern culture, grown in popularity among all athletes, and impacted gender politics within the sports world.
