Spend the evening with award-winning artist and author Nate Powell, whose works include the graphic essay/memoir of Civil Rights icon John Lewis’ March trilogy and its follow-up Run, along with comics adaptations of James Loewen’s Lies My Teacher Told Me.
Learn more about the genius behind his recognizable signature black and white line art. Discover the process in illustrating many of Powell’s works, and the memories of Congressman John Lewis and key figures and moments of the civil rights movement, and the research necessary to illustrate that power, panel by panel.
Autographs to follow. A variety of Powell’s works will be available for purchase in the Basile History Market in-store and online.
