Join us to learn about the history of some of Indiana’s oldest and largest trees and the ‘deep-rooted’ value which trees continue to provide to life on Earth. We will showcase a tour of the trees around the Statehouse, including a tree that has been to the moon and the newly planted “millionth tree” from Governor Holcomb’s historic Million Tree initiative.

Engage in interactive activities and hands-on experiences designed to foster creativity and ignite curiosity, providing a vibrant educational journey for families to enjoy together! Our comprehensive workshops are designed to support parents and enrich the learning experience for students.

As a reminder all participants (youth and adults) need to register.

Please note: Pending weather, a portion of this workshop may take place outside with a brief (0.20 mile) walk to the State house.

This event is presented by DNR, Urban Forestry Division.
