Join us for an insightful and moving conversation with Emmy-award-winning filmmaker and Vietnam War veteran, Ron Osgood, as he discusses the process behind his two powerful documentaries.
Osgood will show clips from each film and explore the personal stories of veterans and their families, touching on the generational impact of war and the healing power of shared experiences. Following multiple return trips to Vietnam and building trust with former Vietnamese soldiers, we connect with both American and Vietnamese perspectives, offering a profound look into the long-lasting effects of war and the human connection that transcend geography and cultural divides.
Hoosier documentary filmmaker, Ron Osgood, is an Emmy-award-winning media producer, director, and editor specializing in documentary production. His work has ranged from pick-up basketball and earthquakes to John Mellencamp and climate change in National Parks, but his last two documentaries tackle stories from veterans with a focus on Vietnam. He is a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and life member of Vietnam Veterans of America.
