March Mayhem: School Segregation and Desegregation Through Basketball
 
In Indiana, basketball is more than just a game. Hoosiers have a rich history with this sport which has had cultural impacts!
 
In 1955 Crispus Attucks High School was the first all-black team to win a state championship in the nation.  Join the IHS education team as we explore the impacts of one school and one team on segregation in Indiana. Participants will watch a clip with filmmaker Ted Green and other notable Hoosiers, create timelines, analyze historical documents, and even create their own newspaper in this hands-on and interactive workshop designed for homeschool families.
