Free Admission Day
Saturday, July 4, 2026
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - History Center exhibits available
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Special activities available
Looking to escape the heat this 4th of July? Come chill out with the Indiana Historical Society and help us celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a free admission day.
Learn more about our nation’s history, how we celebrate our country, and reflect on what we hope the future holds.
Throughout the entire building will be various crafts, ol’ fashioned summer activities, and games that will remind families of their 4th of July traditions, memories, and summers spent outdoors.
Activities available range from celebratory arts and crafts for people of all ages, such as making pinwheels and paper fireworks, to cornhole and topical showings of Ken Burns’s new documentary, “The American Revolution.”
Join us before heading to your favorite night festivities with fireworks, friends, and family!
*Admission tickets include access to all History Center exhibits.
*Admission tickets are single-use only (one ticket may not be used for multiple visits).
*An email address is required for completion of ticket purchase
