70 years later, we remember the Armistice agreement that concluded the Korean War, the lives of 927 Hoosiers killed in action, the 195 Hoosiers still missing, and the nearly 85,000 Hoosiers who fought there.
Join IHS’s Director of Collections Management, Maire Gurevitz, for an intimate look into the hearts and minds of Byford Lee Reed of the 15th Field Artillery Battalion and bronze-star medalist Lt. Verde O’Neill, an engineer advisor to the Korean Military Advisory Group. Learn more about the Korean conflict through Hoosier voices of letters home, and photographs of camp, landscape, city, and Korean comrades and civilians.
