Special Event: Eva Kor Education Day:
all activities are included with general admission

Eva Kor was a “Mengele twin” and a Holocaust survivor who became renowned for her activism and philosophy of forgiveness. Her message of forgiveness and empathy have inspired all ages and encouraged people to explore forgiveness as a method of healing for themselves.

Governor Holcomb proclaimed January 27, 2020, the first Eva Education Day in Indiana.

Join us as we continue to recognize Eva Education Day through hands-on activities for the entire family, a documentary screening of “Eva: A-7063,” storytelling, and time to explore Eva Kor from Auschwitz to Indiana and USC Shoah Foundation’s Dimensions in Testimony.

Activities include:
– Emotions Activity – Place colored pom-poms next to images and quotes from Eva to identify which emotion those images and quotes elicit. Recognizing and naming our emotions helps us deal with them in healthy ways as Eva encouraged.
– Identity Activity – Using thread, select identity statements to help weave a visual example of how we are all connected and similar to one another.
– Garden of Hope – Respond to Eva’s challenge: How can you make the world a better place?
– Storytime – 11:30 a.m; stories will include How to Change the World in 12 Easy Steps
– Documentary screening – 1 p.m.; 1-hour version of “Eva: A7063”
Join Eva's son, Alex Kor immediately following the screening for a Q&A session.

Participants can collect a patch honoring Eva, while supplies last.
All activities are included with regular museum admission.
